Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody 1A8-Ly6g reacts with mouse Ly-6G (Gr-1), a 25 kDa GPI-anchored protein expressed exclusively by neutrophils. Ly-6G plays a role in neutrophil infiltration, recruitment, and migration, and associates with β2 integrins CD11a and CD11b, modulating their expression and function.

Unlike the RB6-8C5 antibody, 1A8-Ly6g binds only to Ly-6G on neutrophils and is used for neutrophil depletion and functional inhibition studies.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤0.5 µg/test. Optimize concentration empirically depending on cell number (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

Ly6G (Lymphocyte antigen 6 complex locus G6D) is part of the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1 complex, along with Ly6C.
It is a 21–25 kDa protein expressed by myeloid-derived cells in bone marrow and serves as a marker for neutrophils, monocytes, and granulocytes. Expression of Gr-1 correlates with granulocyte differentiation and maturation.

Ly6G has been implicated in anti-tumor immune responses and may modulate local immune activity via neutrophil signaling.
