Product Specific Information

The HIS51 monoclonal antibody reacts with rat CD90 and cross-reacts with mouse CD90.1, a GPI-linked membrane molecule. In rats, CD90 is expressed by hematopoietic stem cells, immature B cells, thymocytes, neurons, inflamed endothelia, and other cell types.
In CD90.1-expressing mouse strains (PL and AKR), CD90 is expressed by early hematopoietic cells in the bone marrow, thymocytes, and mature T cells.

Applications Reported:
This HIS51 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of rat splenocytes. It can be used at ≤0.25 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number should be determined empirically (10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Antibody titration is recommended for optimal performance.

Fluorophore Information:
eFluor® 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue®. It emits at 445 nm and is excited with the Violet laser (405 nm). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Target Information

CD90 (Thy-1) antigen is a GPI-linked glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is expressed in murine T cells, thymocytes, neural cells, Kupffer cells, and fibroblasts. Thy-1 may play a role in cell-cell or cell-ligand interactions during synaptogenesis and other brain-related events.
