Product Specific Information
This antibody reacts with an extracellular epitope of murine CD45 antigen (Leukocyte Common Antigen), a single-chain type I transmembrane protein expressed at high levels on cells of hematopoietic origin, except erythrocytes and platelets.
Target Information
CD45 (LCA, leukocyte common antigen) is a receptor-type protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) ubiquitously expressed in all nucleated hematopoietic cells, comprising approximately 10% of all surface proteins in lymphocytes. CD45 is absent on non-hematopoietic cell lines and tissues. It plays a crucial role in lymphocyte development and antigen signaling, regulating Src-family kinases, T- and B-cell receptor signaling, and cytokine receptor pathways. CD45 isoforms differ by alternative splicing and expression patterns depending on cell type and physiological state. It also modulates integrin-mediated signal transduction and apoptosis-related pathways.
