Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
CDK3 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 3) is a member of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase family and promotes entry into the S phase, partly by activating members of the E2F family of transcription factors. CDK3 can also associate with cyclin C and phosphorylate the retinoblastoma 1 protein to promote exit from G0. The CDK3 gene is located on chromosome 17q22–qter, telomeric to the BRCA1 gene. A single point mutation in the CDK3 gene has been reported in several Mus musculus laboratory strains.
