Product Specific Information
The eBioH4A3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD107a (LAMP-1), a 110 kDa glycoprotein predominantly localized in lysosomal/endosomal membranes. CD107a transiently appears on the surface of degranulating cytolytic T cells and is upregulated on activated platelets and certain cancer cells.
Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, and western blotting. Also applicable for surface staining in degranulation assays.
Applications Tested:
Validated for intracellular staining, flow cytometry, ICC, IHC (formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue, high/low pH antigen retrieval), and WB.
- Flow cytometry: ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Target Information
LAMP1 (CD107a) is a major lysosomal membrane protein, also found (1–2%) on the plasma membrane. It contains a signal peptide, 18 N-linked glycosylation sites, a transmembrane domain, and a short cytosolic tail. LAMP1 is essential for lysosome biogenesis and fusion with phagosomes.
Cell surface LAMP1 and LAMP2 promote adhesion of PBMCs to vascular endothelium, potentially contributing to inflammation. Increased LAMP1 expression has been observed in neurons and glial cells near senile plaques in Alzheimer’s disease, as well as in thymic epithelial cells and macrophages during acute thymic involution.
LAMP1 serves as a reliable marker for mast cell activation.
