Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody OX90.1 recognizes mouse CD200 (OX2), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig domains, a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic domain.
CD200 is expressed on resting and activated B and T cells, keratinocytes, peripheral and central nerve cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ovarian cells.
Interaction with CD200R modulates macrophage activation (IL-6 production), inhibits mast cell degranulation, reduces TNF-α and IL-13 secretion, and attenuates lymphocyte activation.

Applications Tested: Tested on mouse splenocytes at ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.

Target Information

CD200 is a type I membrane glycoprotein with two immunoglobulin domains, part of the Ig superfamily. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to inhibit macrophage activation.
Homologues exist in herpesviruses and poxviruses. CD200 regulates myeloid cell activity and provides inhibitory signaling in macrophage lineages.
Multiple alternatively spliced variants exist, and CD200 dysfunction is associated with Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
