Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are composed of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies. Each lot is produced with a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability.

Target Information

CREB (Cyclic AMP response element binding protein) is a 43 kDa transcription factor that binds to the cyclic AMP response element (CRE) and activates transcription in response to extracellular signals such as neurotransmitters, hormones, and growth factors. Activation depends on phosphorylation of serine 133 via MAP kinase pathways.
Phosphorylated CREB acts as a transcription factor interacting with CREB binding protein (CBP). CREB plays roles in circadian rhythm regulation, adipocyte differentiation, and learning and memory.
In humans, the CREB gene is located on chromosome 2q. Dysregulation is associated with Alzheimer’s disease, histiocytoma, and soft tissue melanoma.
