Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and lot-to-lot consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, enabling higher sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability.
Formerly known as “Recombinant polyclonal antibody”, this product is now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody”. The physical product and performance remain unchanged.

Target Information

The STAT5 beta protein belongs to the STAT family of transcription factors. Upon cytokine or growth factor stimulation, STAT proteins are phosphorylated, form homo- or heterodimers, and translocate to the nucleus to act as transcription activators.
STAT5 beta mediates signal transduction triggered by ligands such as IL2, IL4, CSF1, and various growth hormones. It is involved in TCR signaling, apoptosis, mammary gland development, and sexual dimorphism of liver gene expression.
In rare cases, this gene fuses with the retinoic acid receptor-alpha (RARA) gene in acute promyelocytic leukemias (APLL). Dysregulation of STAT5 beta-mediated pathways may contribute to APLL pathogenesis.
