Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of a selection of multiple recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, and providing consistent performance across lots.

These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, producing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a known mixture of light and heavy chains, eliminating biological variability associated with polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information

STAT6 is a transcription factor activated by cytokines such as interleukin-4 (IL-4) and IL-13. STAT6-deficient models show impaired IL-4-mediated functions including Th2 helper T-cell differentiation, surface marker expression, T-cell proliferation, and immunoglobulin class switching to IgE.

STAT6 mRNA is detected in peripheral blood lymphocytes, colon, intestine, ovary, prostate, thymus, spleen, kidney, liver, lung, and placenta. It plays a critical role in Th2 immune response and IL-4-mediated biological processes. STAT6 exists in two isoforms: STAT6a and STAT6c.
