Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. Restore with deionized water or equivalent. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only before immediate use. Expiration date: 1 year from date of restoration.
Anti-AKT3 antibody is directed against human AKT3 and detects both unphosphorylated and phosphorylated forms. Cross-reactivity with AKT3 from other species is expected (human, mouse, rat). Cross-reactivity with AKT2 and AKT has not been determined.
Target Information
AKT3 (PKB gamma) is stimulated by PDGF, insulin, and IGF1. It participates in processes such as:
- Cell proliferation and differentiation
- Apoptosis and tumorigenesis
- Glycogen synthesis and glucose uptake
Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described.
