Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes human intracellular protein ARHGEF4 / ASEF1, an approximately 80 kDa guanine nucleotide exchange factor specific for Rac1 and Cdc42. The epitope is located near the SH3 domain region.
Target Information
Rho GTPases play a fundamental role in numerous cellular processes initiated by extracellular stimuli through G protein-coupled receptors. The encoded protein may form complexes with G proteins and stimulate Rho-dependent signaling. This protein is similar to rat collybistin. Alternative splicing generates two transcript variants encoding different isoforms, with potential use of multiple polyadenylation sites.
