MA1-135-HRP detects both N-terminal and C-terminal His-tagged proteins in Western Blot applications.
Target Information
The 6x His tag is a synthetic oligopeptide consisting of six consecutive histidine residues (HHHHHH). It is commonly fused to the N- or C-terminal regions of recombinant proteins to enable purification using immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC).
His-tagged proteins bind strongly and selectively to Ni²⁺-NTA adsorbents, allowing purification to homogeneity.
His tag-specific antibodies facilitate detection or co-immunoprecipitation of tagged proteins when no specific antibody is available.
