Target Information
Tau는 신경세포 축삭에서 주로 발견되는 미세소관 결합 단백질로, 튜불린 중합을 촉진하고 미세소관을 안정화합니다.
N-말단은 신경 세포막 구성 요소에, C-말단은 축삭 미세소관에 결합하여 세포 구조 연결 역할을 합니다.
과인산화된 Tau는 Alzheimer’s 질환의 신경섬유 엉킴을 형성하는 주요 구성요소이며, 미세소관 결합 기능 손실과 신경세포 퇴화를 유발합니다.
Tau의 인산화는 GSK-3β, PKA, cdk5, casein kinase II 등 여러 효소에 의해 조절됩니다.
과인산화된 Tau는 Pick’s disease, frontotemporal dementia, corticobasal degeneration, progressive supranuclear palsy 등 다양한 신경계 질환에서도 발견됩니다.
