Target Information
FADD 단백질은 다양한 세포 표면 수용체와 상호작용하여 세포 사멸(apoptosis) 신호를 매개하는 어댑터 분자입니다. 이 단백질의 C-말단 death domain은 TNFRSF6/Fas, TNFRSF25, TNFSF10/TRAIL 수용체 등에 의해 모집되어 사멸 신호 전달에 참여합니다. 수용체와의 결합은 N-말단 effector domain을 노출시켜 caspase-8을 모집하고 cysteine protease cascade를 활성화합니다. 생쥐 knockout 연구는 이 단백질이 초기 T 세포 발달에 중요함을 시사합니다.
