Product Specific Information
Description:
The 2H7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD20, a 33–36 kDa transmembrane protein expressed on developing and mature B cells, but not on plasma cells. Low levels may be found on a subset of mature T cells. CD20 is implicated in B-cell activation.
Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Use at 5 µL (0.06 µg) per test. A test is defined as the amount of antibody that stains a cell sample in 100 µL final volume. Recommended cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Excitation / Emission / Laser:
633–647 nm excitation; 660 nm emission; Red laser.
Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, some T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It regulates transmembrane calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation. CD20 remains on the cell surface after receptor ligation, making it a key therapeutic target in B-cell malignancies. Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
