This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

This antibody has specificity for Mouse Clusterin/Apolipoprotein J/Apo-J.
Target Information
Isoform 1 functions as an extracellular chaperone that prevents aggregation of nonnative proteins and stress-induced aggregation of blood plasma proteins. It inhibits amyloid fibril formation by APP, APOC2, B2M, CALCA, CSN3, SNCA, and aggregation-prone LYZ variants (in vitro).
- Maintains partially unfolded proteins for subsequent refolding by other chaperones (e.g., HSPA8/HSC70)
- Does not refold proteins by itself
- Binding to cell surface receptors triggers internalization and degradation of chaperone-client complexes
- Secreted isoform protects cells against apoptosis and complement-mediated cytolysis
- Intracellular isoforms interact with ubiquitin and SCF E3 ligase complexes, promoting proteasomal degradation of target proteins
- Modulates NF-kappa-B transcriptional activity
- Nuclear isoforms promote apoptosis
- Mitochondrial isoforms suppress BAX-dependent cytochrome c release and inhibit apoptosis
- Plays a role in cell proliferation regulation
