This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).
This antibody has specificity for Human CTLA-4/CD152.
Target Information
CTLA4 (Cytotoxic T-Lymphocyte Antigen 4) is a CD28-family receptor mainly expressed on CD4+ T cells.
It binds the same ligands as CD28 (CD80 and CD86 on B cells and dendritic cells) but with higher affinity.
Unlike CD28, which enhances T cell activation, CTLA4 inhibits T cell function and contributes to immune regulation.
Intracellular CTLA4 is also found in regulatory T cells and may be important for their function.
