Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody ALY7 recognizes mouse LYVE-1, a transmembrane glycoprotein similar to CD44. LYVE-1 is expressed on lymphatic and liver endothelial cells and some macrophages. It plays a role in lymphatic transport of proteins and immune cells. The ligand for LYVE-1 is hyaluronan, and binding is regulated by glycan masking and unmasking mechanisms.
Applications Reported: Suitable for immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue sections (IHC-F).
Applications Tested: Tested on frozen, fixed mouse intestine at ≤ 5 µg/mL. Optimize concentration for best results.
Filter Recommendation:
Use filters capturing 570 nm emission (e.g., Excitation 545/25, 565LP, Emission 605/70).
Alexa Fluor™ 555 or TRITC filters are acceptable.

Target Information
LYVE1 is a major receptor for hyaluronan (HA) on lymph vessel walls. It is a 322-amino-acid type I integral membrane glycoprotein, 41% similar to CD44, containing a single Link module — the HA-binding domain. LYVE1 binds both soluble and immobilized HA and is localized specifically on lymphatic vessels, not blood vessels, making it a distinct marker for lymphatic endothelium.
LYVE1 is involved in regulating the movement of leukocytes and tumor cells to lymph nodes. It serves as a key marker for lymphatic vasculature, along with PALE, VEGFR3, and podoplanin. Dysfunction of LYVE1 is associated with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.
