Product Specific Information

The eBio124-1D1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD7 (gp40, Leu9), a 40 kDa receptor and member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily.
CD7 is expressed on most immature and mature T lymphocytes, T cell leukemias, NK cells, and a subset of B cells. Cross-linking of CD7 modulates T cell and NK cell activity, affecting calcium flux, adhesion molecule expression, cytokine secretion, and proliferation. It directly associates with phosphoinositol 3’-kinase and induces D-3 phosphoinositide production and tyrosine phosphorylation.

A clonogenic subpopulation of CD34(+) CD38(-) cord blood cells expressing CD45RA, HLA-DR, and high CD7 levels can generate lymphoid cells (B, NK, dendritic) but not myeloid or erythroid lineages, distinguishing primitive lymphoid progenitors from pluripotent stem cells.

CD7 may cooperate with CD28 in Treg function; deficiency in both reduces Treg numbers and suppressive activity.

Each product contains:

  • 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for use at 5 µL (0.8 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Important:
NovaFluor dyes are incompatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (PI, 7-AAD, DAPI). Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains instead.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) must be used for optimal staining. Add 5 µL per sample before combining with cells. For single-color controls, use 5 µL per 100 µL of cell sample.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, based on nucleic acid dye structures engineered for optimized fluorescent signatures minimizing spillover and spread.
