A BLAST analysis suggests reactivity with African frog and rat (100% homology) and rabbit and mouse (93.3% homology) for the immunogen sequence.
Target Information
PKM2 (Pyruvate Kinase M2) catalyzes the conversion of phosphoenolpyruvate from pyruvate and ATP.
PKM2 interacts with thyroid hormone, mediating metabolic effects induced by thyroid hormones.
It also binds Opa protein, a bacterial outer membrane protein involved in gonococcal adherence and invasion of human cells, indicating a role in bacterial pathogenesis.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding two distinct isoforms of PKM2 have been reported.
