Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human I-TAC (CXCL11). Anti-Human I-TAC (CXCL11)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human I-TAC (CXCL11) matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human I-TAC (CXCL11) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human I-TAC (CXCL11) (500-P132Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human I-TAC (CXCL11).

Western Blot:
To detect Human I-TAC (CXCL11) by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human I-TAC (CXCL11) is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Interferon-inducible T-cell alpha chemoattractant (I-TAC), belonging to the CXC chemokine family, is expressed in peripheral blood leukocytes, pancreas, liver, thymus, spleen, lung, small intestine, placenta, and prostate.
Its molecular weight is 8–11 kD. I-TAC is also known as CXCL-11 and IP-9.
The cytokine regulates calcium release and induces a chemotactic response in activated T-cells, serving as the dominant ligand for CXC receptor-3.
The gene encoding this protein contains 4 exons and at least three polyadenylation signals, reflecting cell-specific regulation of expression. IFN-gamma is a potent inducer of transcription of this gene.
It is upregulated in patients with AIDS, dementia, and multiple sclerosis.
