Target Information
PLAGL1 유전자는 C2H2 zinc finger 단백질을 암호화하며, 전사 활성화 및 DNA 결합 기능을 가지고 있습니다. 이 단백질은 항증식 특성을 보여 종양 억제자로 작용하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 태아 발달 중 과발현은 일시적 신생아 당뇨병(TNDM)과 관련이 있습니다. 이 유전자는 imprinting 되어 있으며, 대부분의 조직에서 부계 대립유전자의 발현이 우세하지만, 말초 혈액 백혈구에서는 양대립유전자 발현이 관찰됩니다. 최근 연구에서는 조직 특이적 imprinting이 단일 및 양대립유전자 프로모터의 가변적 이용에 의해 발생함을 보고했습니다. 다양한 5' UTR을 가지는 전사 변이체들이 존재하며, 두 가지 서로 다른 isoform을 암호화합니다.
