This antibody detects endogenous levels of total CHFR protein.
Target Information
CHFR (E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase) functions in the antephase checkpoint by delaying entry into mitosis in response to microtubule poisons. It acts in early prophase before chromosome condensation and is involved in signaling mitotic stress through Lys-48-linked ubiquitination of target proteins, leading to proteasomal degradation. CHFR promotes ubiquitination and degradation of AURKA and PLK1 and may act as a tumor suppressor by mediating polyubiquitination of HDAC1. It can also form Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin chains with the UBC13-MMS2 (UBE2N-UBE2V2) complex, which are involved in stress signaling rather than degradation.
