This antibody detects endogenous NOTCH2 protein at molecular weights of approximately 85 and 110 kDa.

Target Information
The LIN-12/Notch family of transmembrane receptors plays a central role in development by regulating cell fate decisions. Four Notch homologs have been identified in mammals (Notch1–4), expressed in various tissues during both embryonic and adult stages. These genes are involved in multiple signaling pathways and are often overexpressed or rearranged in human tumors.
Ligands for Notch include Jagged, Jagged2, and Delta. Jagged activates Notch signaling and inhibits myoblast differentiation by suppressing muscle gene expression. Jagged2 is implicated in epithelial-mesenchymal interaction–dependent tissue development.
