MBL (Mannose-Binding Lectin)은 항체 비의존적 기전을 통해 병원체를 직접 중화하는 면역 반응의 핵심 구성 요소입니다. 인간 MBL의 변이는 보체 고정 능력 저하로 인한 면역 결핍과 관련이 있습니다.
MASP-1, MASP-2, MASP-3 및 sMAP(MAp19)은 MBL과 복합체를 형성하여 렉틴 경로를 활성화합니다. MASP-3는 MASP-1 유전자의 대체 스플라이싱 산물로, 두 단백질의 heavy/A 체인은 동일하지만 light/B 체인은 다릅니다. 활성화된 MASP는 보체 경로의 하위 요소를 절단 및 활성화합니다.
