Product Specific Information

Description:
The 3.9 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD11c, the 150 kDa integrin alpha X chain. CD11c non-covalently associates with beta 2 integrin to form the CD11c/CD18 heterodimer. This complex is expressed on monocytes, granulocytes, macrophages, NK cells, dendritic cells, and subsets of T and B lymphocytes. CD11c/CD18 binds to CD54, iC3b, and fibrinogen, playing a role in leukocyte adhesive interactions.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Fluorochrome Characteristics:
Super Bright 645 is a tandem dye excited by the violet laser (405 nm) and emits at 645 nm. Recommended detection filter: 660/20 bandpass.
Use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) when using multiple Super Bright-conjugated antibodies to minimize non-specific interactions.

Light Sensitivity:
Sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product # 00-8222) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product # 00-5333) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency.

Target Information

CD11, along with CD18, forms a heterodimer adhesion molecule. CD11 consists of CD11a, CD11b, and CD11c.

• CD11a: Expressed in B and T lymphocytes, macrophages, monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, and eosinophils.
• CD11b: Expressed by monocytes, macrophages, NK cells, some B and T cells, and granulocytes.
• CD11c: Expressed in monocytes, macrophages, NK cells, some granulocytes, and a subset of lymphocytes.
