Product Specific Information

The eBioA1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD39 (ENTPD1 or NTPDase), an integral membrane protein and a key ectoenzyme of the immune system.
CD39 removes toxic extracellular ATP by converting it to ADP or AMP, working together with CD73. It is expressed on activated lymphocytes, subsets of T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and weakly on monocytes and granulocytes.

CD39 and CD73 are found on regulatory T cells (Treg), facilitating their migration into inflamed areas with high ATP levels. Expression of CD39 on Foxp3+CD4+ cells ranges from 25–45%.

This antibody has been pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell numbers may vary from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Super Bright 436 is excited with the violet laser line (405 nm) and emits at 436 nm. Use a 450/50 bandpass filter or equivalent.
When using multiple Super Bright dye-conjugated antibodies, use Super Bright Complete Staining Buffer (Product # SB-4401) to minimize non-specific polymer interactions.

Target Information

CD39 is a 70–100 kD cell surface antigen expressed on peripheral blood B cells, monocytes, T cell clones, and weakly on granulocytes. It has intrinsic ecto-ATPase activity and is induced on T cells and increased on B cells as a late activation antigen.
