Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Dog, Cat, and Mouse.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems utilize cloned antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production.

Advantages include:

  • Enhanced specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulation
  • Broader immunoreactivity due to the rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

MAP2K3 (MEK3) is a dual-specificity protein kinase involved in cellular signal transduction pathways and is required for glucose transporter expression. It phosphorylates and activates MAPK14/p38-MAPK and can be activated by insulin.

Overexpression or activation of RAS oncogene leads to accumulation of active MEK3, resulting in constitutive activation of MAPK14 and oncogenic transformation of primary cells. Inhibition of MEK3 is implicated in the pathogenesis of Yersinia pseudotuberculosis.

Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported for MEK3.
