Product Specific Information

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Sheep, Rat, and Mouse.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.
Advantages include:

  • Better specificity and sensitivity
  • Lot-to-lot consistency
  • Animal origin-free formulations
  • Broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire

Target Information

14-3-3 epsilon belongs to the 14-3-3 family of proteins that mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved protein family exists in both plants and mammals and is 100% identical to the mouse ortholog.
It interacts with CDC25 phosphatases, RAF1, and IRS1 proteins, indicating roles in:

  • Cell division
  • Regulation of insulin sensitivity
  • Signal transduction pathways

It has been implicated in the pathogenesis of small cell lung cancer. Two transcript variants (one protein-coding and one non-protein-coding) have been identified for this gene.
