Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody ALY7 recognizes mouse LYVE-1, a transmembrane glycoprotein similar to CD44. LYVE-1 is expressed on lymphatic and liver endothelial cells and certain macrophage populations. It binds hyaluronan (HA), a mucopolysaccharide, through a conserved domain. Binding in vivo may require glycan modification to expose the binding site.

Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of LYVE-1/GFP co-transfected cells. Recommended ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume).

Target Information
LYVE1 is a major receptor for hyaluronan (HA) on lymph vessel walls. It encodes a 322-residue type I integral membrane glycoprotein with a 212-residue extracellular domain containing a Link module, similar to CD44. Unlike CD44, LYVE1 is specific to lymphatic vessels and absent in blood vessels, making it a key marker for lymphatic endothelium.
LYVE1 plays a role in leukocyte and tumor cell trafficking to lymph nodes. Dysfunction is associated with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.
