Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean. Anti-Human gAcrp30/Adipolean-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hAdipolean by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Adipolean (500-P193G) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hAdipolean.

Western Blot:
To detect Human Adipolean by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used with compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Human Adipolean is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

gAcrp30 is a naturally occurring globular protein obtained by proteolytic processing of adiponectin. Adiponectin is produced and secreted exclusively by adipocytes and is a relatively abundant plasma protein, accounting for up to 0.05% of total serum protein.
Like adiponectin, gAcrp30 decreases hyperglycemia and reverses insulin resistance. It also promotes fat loss by signaling muscle to absorb and burn free fatty acids (FFAs).
The receptors for adiponectin and gAcrp30, AdipoR1 and AdipoR2, have been identified, with AdipoR2 predominantly expressed in the liver.
