Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean. The anti-Human gAcrp30/Adipolean-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using an immobilized Human gAcrp30/Adipolean matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human gAcrp30/Adipolean by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human gAcrp30/Adipolean (500-P193GBt) as a detection antibody, this assay allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean.

Western Blot:
To detect Human gAcrp30/Adipolean by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

gAcrp30 is a naturally occurring globular protein obtained by proteolytic processing of adiponectin. Adiponectin is produced and secreted exclusively by adipocytes and is a relatively abundant plasma protein, accounting for up to 0.05% of total serum protein. Like adiponectin, gAcrp30 decreases hyperglycemia and reverses insulin resistance. It also promotes fat loss by signaling muscle to absorb and burn free-fatty acids (FFAs). The signaling receptors for adiponectin and gAcrp30, AdipoR1 and AdipoR2, have been identified, with AdipoR2 predominantly expressed in the liver.
