Interleukin 17A (IL-17A)는 활성화된 T-림프구에서 분비되는 염증성 사이토카인으로, CD34 양성 조혈 전구세포의 호중구 성숙을 유도합니다. IL-17RA는 IL-17A 및 IL-17F와 낮은 친화도로 결합하는 제1형 막 당단백질로, 류머티즘성 관절염 등 다양한 염증성 및 자가면역 질환의 병태생리에 관여합니다.
IL-17RA의 결함은 진균 감염 제거에 장애를 일으키는 희귀 질환인 가족성 칸디다증 5형(CANDF5)의 원인으로 알려져 있습니다.
