Target Information
SMAD2 (MADH2, MAD2)는 세포 증식, 세포사멸, 분화 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여하는 조절 단백질입니다. SMAD2는 TGF-β 수용체와 상호작용하며, 신호 전달 과정에서 핵으로 이동하여 전사 억제 복합체를 형성합니다.
TGF-β 신호에 반응하여 SMAD2는 수용체에 의해 인산화되며, 이 과정에서 SARA와의 결합이 해리되고 SMAD4와 결합하여 핵 내로 이동합니다. 또한 activin type 1 receptor kinase에 의해 인산화되어 activin 신호 전달에도 관여합니다.
