Target Information
Apaf 1 (apoptosis protease-activating factor 1)는 세포사멸 경로의 주요 인자로, cytochrome c (Apaf 2) 및 Caspase-9 (Apaf 3)과 결합하여 Caspase-9을 활성화시킵니다. 활성화된 Caspase-9은 Caspase-3을 절단 및 활성화하여 세포사멸에 관여합니다.
최근 연구에서 Apaf 1 상호작용 단백질(APIP, CG129, MMRP19)이 ischemic injury의 음성 조절자로 밝혀졌습니다. APIP는 Apaf 1의 Caspase-9 결합 부위와 경쟁하며, 204 아미노산 단백질을 암호화합니다.
APIP2는 242 아미노산으로 구성된 대체 스플라이싱 변이체로, N-말단에서 차이를 보입니다. APIP 전사는 대부분의 성체 조직에서 발현되며, 특히 골격근, 심장, 신장에서 높은 발현을 나타냅니다.
