They are composed of a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies, while maintaining the consistency of recombinant production.
Functionally, they behave like polyclonal antibodies by recognizing multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each Superclonal™ antibody contains a defined mixture of light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility across lots and eliminating biological variability typically associated with polyclonal antibody production.

Target Information
Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for the nucleosome structure of chromatin in eukaryotes. Two molecules of each of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4) form an octamer, around which ~146 bp of DNA is wrapped, forming nucleosomes. The linker histone H1 binds linker DNA between nucleosomes and contributes to chromatin compaction into higher-order structures.
This gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H4 family. Transcripts lack polyA tails but contain a palindromic termination element. The gene is located within the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6.
