Product Specific Information
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
Anti-Myosin-6 is directed against the myosin-6 protein. A BLAST analysis suggests reactivity with 94% human Myosin VI. Cross-reactivity with myosin-6 from other sources has not been determined.
Target Information
This gene encodes a protein involved in intracellular vesicle and organelle transport, especially in the hair cells of the inner ear. Mutations in this gene have been found in patients with non-syndromic autosomal dominant and recessive hearing loss.
