Target Information
The PCDH7 gene belongs to the protocadherin gene family, a subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. It encodes a membrane protein with seven extracellular cadherin repeats, implicated in cell-cell recognition and adhesion. Alternative splicing generates isoforms with distinct cytoplasmic domains.
