Target Information
Nuclear factor kB p65 (NF-kB p65) is encoded by the RELA gene and located on chromosome 11 in humans. NF-kB p65, also known as RelA, is a member of the Rel protein family and forms heterodimers with p50 or p52 subunits. Upon TNF alpha binding, IKK is phosphorylated, leading to IκB phosphorylation and subsequent proteasomal degradation. NF-kB p65 plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation of the immunoglobulin kappa gene in mature B-lymphoid cells.
