Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as a ~150 kDa band and upon reduction generates a ~25 kDa light chain band and a ~50 kDa heavy chain.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
AKT1 (PKB alpha) is a serine/threonine kinase that regulates cell survival. The activated enzyme inhibits apoptosis and stimulates cell cycle progression by phosphorylating multiple targets in various cell types, including cancer cells. It is activated by insulin, PI3K, IGF1, and other growth and survival factors. Akt promotes cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis through phosphorylation and inactivation of forkhead transcription factors and caspase-9.
The AKT pathway is a major target for cancer drug discovery.
