Target Information
Interleukin-31 (IL-31)은 최근 발견된 T-cell cytokine으로, IL-6 계열 사이토카인과 밀접하게 관련되어 있으며 주로 T helper type 2 세포에서 생성됩니다.
IL-31은 IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor로 구성된 이합체 수용체 복합체를 통해 JAK/STAT 및 AKT 신호전달 경로를 활성화합니다.
활성화된 단핵세포에서는 IL-31 receptor A와 oncostatin M receptor의 RNA 발현이 증가하며, 상피세포에서는 지속적으로 발현됩니다.
IL-31의 과발현은 가려움증, 탈모 및 피부 병변을 유발하며, 인간에서는 아토피 피부염과 관련되어 있어 항가려움 치료제 개발의 잠재적 표적이 될 수 있습니다.
