Target Information
THEM2 (ACOT13)은 hotdog-fold superfamily에 속하며 thioesterase 활성을 가지고 있습니다.
긴 사슬 acyl-CoA(예: myristoyl-, palmitoyl-CoA)에 대해 높은 활성을 보입니다.
심장, 신장, 간, 뇌 등 여러 조직에서 발현되며, β-tubulin과 함께 미세소관에 공존합니다.
StarD 단백질과 상호작용하여 지방산 대사에 중요한 역할을 수행하며, StarD의 존재 시 THEM2의 촉매 활성이 증가합니다.
THEM2는 최소 두 가지 isoform이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
