Target Information
DISC1 (Disrupted in Schizophrenia 1)은 세포골격 및 중심체 관련 단백질과 상호작용하는 다기능 단백질로, 신경세포 이동, 신경돌기 구조 및 세포 내 수송 등 세포골격 조절에 의존적인 신경 기능에 관여합니다.
DISC1은 해마, 편도체, 대뇌피질, 소뇌, 시상하부 등에서 발현되며, 기능 손실 시 구조적 이상이 나타납니다.
DISC1 유전자 변이는 조현병 환자의 염색체 전좌와 연관되어 있으며, DISC1 단백질은 MIPT3, MAP1A, NUDEL 등 중심체 및 세포골격 관련 단백질과 상호작용합니다. 또한 수용체 막 위치 조절 단백질(alpha-actinin 2, β4-spectrin)과 신호전달 단백질(ATF-4, ATF-5)과도 상호작용합니다.
이러한 기능으로 인해 DISC1은 신경세포 이동, 신경돌기 구조 형성, 시냅스 발달 등에 중요한 역할을 하며, 조현병 병태생리와 관련이 있는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
