Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of VEGFR1 only when phosphorylated at Tyrosine 1213.


Target Information

FLT1 (VEGFR1) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in angiogenesis. Active angiogenesis is involved in various physiological and pathological processes such as tumor progression, diabetic retinopathy, rheumatoid arthritis, and wound healing.
FLT1 may act as a negative regulator of embryonic angiogenesis by inhibiting excessive endothelial cell proliferation, while promoting endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis in adulthood in a cell-type specific manner.
It has high affinity for VEGFA but relatively low kinase activity, possibly functioning as a negative regulator of VEGFA signaling by limiting free VEGFA availability.
