Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

Anaplastic Lymphoma Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (ALK) belongs to the insulin receptor superfamily and plays a crucial role in brain development.
Mutations, rearrangements, and amplifications in the ALK gene are associated with various tumors, including:

  • Anaplastic large cell lymphoma
  • Neuroblastoma
  • Non-small cell lung cancer

Chromosomal rearrangement frequently leads to a fusion gene between ALK (chromosome 2) and nucleophosmin (NPM, chromosome 5).
The NPM-ALK fusion protein is oncogenic and lacks the transmembrane and extracellular domains found in normal ALK.
ALK shows high sequence similarity to LTK and exerts effects on specific neurons in the nervous system.
