For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

This gene belongs to the protocadherin gamma gene cluster, one of three related clusters tandemly linked on chromosome 5. These clusters have an immunoglobulin-like organization, suggesting a unique regulatory mechanism.
The gamma gene cluster contains 22 genes divided into three subfamilies:

• Subfamily A: 12 genes
• Subfamily B: 7 genes and 2 pseudogenes
• Subfamily C: 3 genes

Each variable region exon encodes the extracellular region with six cadherin ectodomains and a transmembrane region, followed by a constant region shared by all genes. These neural cadherin-like cell adhesion proteins are likely critical for specific cell-cell connections in the brain. Alternative splicing has been observed in gamma cluster genes.
