Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
GPNMB is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein homologous to the melanocyte-specific pMEL17 precursor.
It is expressed in lowly metastatic human melanoma cell lines and xenografts, but not in highly metastatic lines.
GPNMB may play a role in growth delay and reduction of metastatic potential.
Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
