Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of IRAK1 only when phosphorylated at Thr100.
Target Information
IL-1 receptor associated kinases (IRAKs) are serine/threonine kinases involved in signaling via Toll/IL-1 pathways. Upon TLR activation, IRAK1 is rapidly recruited by MYD88 to the receptor-signaling complex. This association leads to IRAK1 phosphorylation by IRAK4, followed by autophosphorylation and kinase activation. IRAK1 can also phosphorylate TIRAP, promoting its ubiquitination and degradation, and phosphorylate IRF7, inducing its activation and nuclear translocation. These processes result in transcriptional activation of type I interferon genes, establishing an antiviral state.
