Antibody detects endogenous levels of IRAK1 only when phosphorylated at Thr387.
Target Information
IL-1 receptor associated kinases (IRAKs) are serine/threonine kinases involved in signaling via Toll/IL-1 pathways. IRAK1 is rapidly recruited by MYD88 to the receptor-signaling complex upon TLR activation. Its association with MYD88 leads to phosphorylation by IRAK4, subsequent autophosphorylation, and kinase activation. IRAK1 can also phosphorylate TIRAP, promoting its ubiquitination and degradation, and phosphorylate interferon regulatory factor 7 (IRF7) to induce activation and nuclear translocation. This results in transcriptional activation of type I IFN genes, driving the cell into an antiviral state.
