- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Plexin A1, Plexin A3, and recombinant human Plexin B1 is observed.

PLXND1 is a cell surface receptor for SEMA4A and class 3 semaphorins (SEMA3A, SEMA3C, SEMA3E).
It plays key roles in:
- Cell-cell signaling and migration regulation of diverse cell types
- Thymocyte migration in the medulla
- Endothelial cell migration and synapse formation specificity
- Normal heart and vascular development
